A static QR code stores the destination directly inside the code. That means the QR image itself does not depend on an account, subscription or redirect service. Download it once and use it on menus, packaging, flyers, signs, business cards or anywhere else you need a scannable link.

QR codes themselves do not expire. If your code links to a web page, that page still needs to remain online. If the URL changes or the page is removed, the QR code will still scan but the destination may no longer work.

Important: “Never expires” refers to the static QR code itself. A linked web page, social account, phone number or other destination can still change or disappear.

Do static QR codes expire?

No. A static QR code has no built-in expiry date. If it points to a website, that destination still needs to remain available.

Do I need an account?

No. This generator creates the QR code in your browser and does not require an account.

Can I print the QR code?

Yes. Test the downloaded code at the intended print size before producing a large quantity.

Can I change the link after printing?

Not with a static QR code. The destination is encoded directly in the image. To change it, create a new QR code or use a redirect URL that you control.
